The work documents and illustrates the history of 136 handmade protest posters produced by the students of the University of California at Berkeley in 1970 to protest the extension of the Vietnam War into Cambodia. It is possibly one of the finest such collections in private hands. The number '4973' appearing on many of the posters is said to be an 'all-clear' code indicating that the Berkeley Police Department had granted their approval. '4973' is fully illustrated with colour photographs of the entire collection.
